About the lab
Co-create practical solutions for good health and wellbeing.
HEALTHACON 2026 brings together committed young problem solvers, healthcare enthusiasts, grassroots changemakers, social workers, designers and technologists to co-create practical social and technological solutions for good health and wellbeing. Using the SST× design-thinking methodology, participants move from community problem discovery and stakeholder framing to rapid prototyping — and present their solution at the concluding Solutions Festival.

How the edition runs.

Pre-SST online training & mentorship
6 hours of interactive online training — three 2-hour sessions over 3 days — plus mentored identification of a local health challenge before the residential lab.

3-day residential Health Innovation Lab
November 12, 13 & 14, 2026 in Kollam, Kerala. Using the SST× design-thinking methodology, teams move from community problem discovery to rapid prototyping, closing with looks-like, works-like or made-like prototype presentations.

Post-lab support
Opportunities for ongoing mentorship, pilot validation and ecosystem support for promising community health action projects.
Who should apply
If you care about health in your community, this lab is for you.
- Young people aged 18–35 passionate about solving real-world health and wellbeing challenges.
- Selection favours genuine commitment over formal qualifications — no prior degree or technical background is mandatory.
- Women, gender minorities, and applicants from underserved communities are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Apply as an individual (teams are formed during the lab) or as an existing team of 2–4 members.
